Friendly Pines Camp is nestled high in the pine clad Bradshaw Mountains outside historic Prescott, Arizona. Since 1941 Friendly Pines Camp has been offering boys and girls, ages 6-14 a comprehensive traditional program that includes Western riding, English riding, vaulting, rock climbing, canoe/kayak, fine arts, performing arts, fencing, archery, ax throwing, tennis, sports, swimming, pet care, sewing, nature study, outdoor living skills, and more. Campers live in rustic redwood cabins (complete with indoor shower, sink and toilet). They live with counselors who have been carefully selected and thoroughly trained. Friendly Pines camp has dedicated itself to offering a fun program that allows for personal choice, encourages co-operation and tolerance, builds self-esteem and self-reliance, and gives each camper the freedom to pursue his or her own interests. Camp Marapai is a rustic style camp located just outside of Prescott, Arizona nestled in the pines and surrounded by the peaks of the Prescott National Forest. Camp Maripai sits at an elevation of 6,000 feet, so although the summer days are hot and sunny, evenings are typically much cooler. During summer camp, girls may have the opportunity to participate in archery, geocaching, hiking, outdoor cooking, arts & crafts, gardening, nature education, sports & games, sleeping out under the stars, and of course, every girl who comes to camp can ride a horse!
