Camp Lakeview was established in 1964 to provide Christian experience of growth, inspiration, and recreation, for people of all ages through a year-round outdoor ministry. Working within the confessions of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod, we enhance the ministry of individual churches by providing the setting and resources for strengthening the faith of God’s people.

At Pyoca, all are welcome in God's love to explore, grow, rest, and play. While you are with us we hope you will explore God's call for your life, grow in faith, rest in Creation, and play with a purpose. Join us for an amazing week of summer camp programs, or year round for group retreats.

We began as a camp and retreat center for Presbyterians, but have since grown to serve a wide variety of churches, non-profits groups, and other organizations. We are proud to welcome all to this place where so many lives have been changed.

Pyoca (pie-oh-ca), is an acronym for our original name: Presbyterian Youth Camp of Brownstown, Indiana. In 1952, our first summer of operation, our name was changed by a cabin mom and four of her Jr. High campers. They also wrote the lyrics to our camp song, which we still sing today!

We invite you into our camp community to experience the transforming love of God, to challenge yourself, and become a part of a community that will walk alongside you throughout a lifetime of faith.

SpringHill Camps is a non-profit Christian camp and retreat ministry with Overnight Camp locations in Michigan, Indiana and Day Camp locations in Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Illinois, Kentucky and Iowa. Our mission is to create life-impacting experiences that enable young people to know and to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. You and your kids will love Summer Camp with our water activities, high adventure activities and outdoor games because it's all integrated with life-changing, fun, faith-filled experiences.
