The YMCA has built a reputation of providing day camp programs that are safe, supervised and engages children in activities that keep their minds and bodies active during the summer months. Traditional camp activities such as swim lessons, recreational swim, sports and arts & crafts still continue to be popular. Today, however, many of our campers are looking for more and the Y is meeting that challenge. With 15 camp offerings, there is sure to be something for everyone!

This summer our progressive camp programs puts the spotlight on a curriculum-enhanced design that focuses upon each camper’s strengths. Camps are grouped into age appropriate categories where roles, responsibilities, planning, values, decision-making, healthy lifestyles, teamwork and leadership are important components. Using this framework, campers have plenty of opportunities to plan activities for themselves and their group and at the same time learn something new about themselves while practicing the Y “character counts” values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.
