Kayaking, fishing, hiking, and stream stomping are some the adventures you’ll “seek” out on the Greenway. Test your skills as an archer while learning to safely handle a bow and arrows. You will even learn some basic survival skills. You’ve been cooped up inside long enough, come and enjoy the fresh air, mud, and excitement of the outdoors! Actual activities may vary between the age groups to ensure age appropriate experiences but all campers will experience a wide range of outdoor activities. Camp meets at the Anne Springs Close Greenway in Fort Mill, SC.

Camp hours are 9:00am-4:00pm, Monday-Friday.

Located on beautiful Lake Wylie, S.C., our 100-acre camp is 20 minutes south of Charlotte, N.C., and is easily accessible from all directions. Since 1936 Camp Thunderbird has provided thousands of kids an unforgettable experience that includes adventure, fun, and friendship! Camp Thunderbird has nationally recognized water programs, including wakeboarding, water skiing, sailing, kayaking, canoeing, water slides and “the Blob”. We offer 28 land activities including horseback riding, skating, high and low ropes courses, sports, and crafts. Our resident camp provides boys and girls an exciting, safe experience that they will remember for a lifetime. Additionally, our Day Camp offers much of the same activities, programs and relationship building opportunities. It's a great program to consider as an option for your child!
